Ann Vincent is a multidisciplinary artist based in Belgium, that focuses on wax sculptures and scupltural candles.
A fasciantion for the material of wax and a love for sculpting arose the desire to investigate how different shapes, wax and flames collaborate. The shapes express simplicity, while the clay that is used to make the initial sculpture emphasises the nature of a handmade object. The finished candles become both a sculptural object, as well as an ever changing shape when they are lit. Every candle is made with a soy wax blend. Poured into molds, and once set, handfinished with a sculpting knife.
